1. Choose the Right Visa Type

2. Complete the Online ETA Application
Visit the official Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) website: www.eta.gov.lk
Fill in your personal, passport, and travel details.
3. Pay the Visa Fee
Pay securely online via credit/debit card.

SAARC countries: USD $20
(Fees are waived for children under 12)
4. Receive ETA Approval via Email
Within 24–72 hours, you’ll receive your ETA approval letter by email.
Print a copy for your travel.
5. Arrival in Sri Lanka
Present your passport, ETA approval, and return ticket at immigration.
Visa is stamped on arrival for 30 days (extendable up to 180 days).
6. Extend if Needed (Optional)
You can extend your visa online or at the Department of Immigration & Emigration in Colombo.
